Pool and Spa Leaks

Pool and Spa Leaks

Your pool and spa should be where you go to relax. But a pool leak or spa leak is the very opposite of relaxation and fun. Circulation pumps, heaters, valves, shells, and even the plumbing itself: there are so many ways that water can leak from a pool or spa. And that can cause stress on your part as your money literally goes down the drain.

Let Advanced Leak Detection find and repair your pool and spa leaks so you can go back to relaxing and enjoying your outdoor water features, rather than stressing out about water damage and increased water bills. We offer premier pool and spa leak services and are trusted and recommended by the top pool and spa retail and service providers in the Greater Sacramento area.

Leak Detection for Pools, Spas, and Water Features

Advanced Leak can help you find and address leaks in all of your outdoor water features, from pools and spas to fountains and more. We use advanced leak detection technology to identify the source of your pool, spa, fountain, or decorative pond leak.

Because pools, spas, fountains, and other water features contain such large amounts of water, the damage and cost of a leak can be vastly greater than that of a small leak in another part of your home or business. These leaks often go unnoticed until they compromise the structure of your water feature.

In addition to increasing water bills, water loss is the most common sign of a pool or spa leak.

Common signs of a pool leak include:

  • Increasing water bills
  • Cracks or falling tile
  • Wet spots in the yard
  • Water level changes
  • Algae growth
  • Water under the equipment
  • Air or dirt blowing into the pool

Do You Have a Pool Leak? Try The Bucket Test

The bucket test is often used by pool owners to determine if there is a leak to be addressed. If you have a 5-gallon bucket at home, you have everything you need to be your own leak detective! Before you begin, turn off any auto-fill features in your pool.

  1. Fill a 5-gallon bucket with pool water, 1-inch from the top
  2. Set the bucket on the first or second step of the pool (immerse it about 5-inches)
  3. Mark where the water level sits on both the inside and outside of the bucket
  4. Let the bucket sit for 24-hours, then compare the inside water level to the outside
  5. If the water level outside of the bucket has dropped more significantly than the inside, call Advanced Leak Detection Services at (916) 846-5179
